A Long-Standing Relationship
At Sydenhams Timber Engineering, strong working relationships have always been important to us. One that has truly stood the test of time is our partnership with Custom-Built of Westbury Ltd, which this year reaches an incredible 20 years.
It was back in 2005 when we first had an enquiry from a company in Wiltshire called Custom-Built of Westbury. Little did we know at the time that it would be the beginning of a long-standing relationship, working together on a wide range of homes—from semi-detached townhouses and award-winning developments to bespoke multi-million-pound properties.
Setting the Standard
The first houses we designed were for Adam Jones, CEO of Custom-Built, which he still proudly lives in today. That project set the tone for exactly how we would work together: with a strong focus on quality, clear communication and a shared approach to tackling challenges.
Since then, Custom-Built has delivered more than 50 timber frame homes with our support. From smaller developments to luxury homes, the partnership has continued to evolve alongside changes in the industry, with both teams eagerly embracing new materials and methods while keeping quality at the heart of every build.
The BRAC Development and Beyond
A recent highlight is The BRAC development, a project that perfectly captures how both businesses have grown. It brings together thoughtful design, carefully engineered timber frames and a commitment to building for the long term. Looking ahead, we are proud to be supporting Custom-Built with their latest collection of luxury homes at a site in Crockerton.
